Hey Everybody, It was SO good to hear from Curtis, and that he is doing well. Praise the Lord!!!!
I'm getting the invitation list for the wedding ready for Lauren. Time is getting short. Curtis said he will be in kwate (sp) the first of April then on to 29 palms and then VA and then home by the end of the month.
We are doing well. We need to pray for April that she will not get sick next week. They have had the flue and Caleb is going to be gone next week so that would be a bad tome for her to get it. pray she won't get it at all.
Pray for Cary as he gets ready to go on his missions trip. Maybe he will give us more info on it.Cary??
Well , I just wanted to say Hi to you all and tell you that I love you. Mom
love you too mom...
looking forward to hugging your neck in a couple of weeks.
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you go...hmmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill! What do u think, Chuck3.
Hhhhmmmmmm. . . .
I've been thinking along these lines all week actually. I neglect time in God's word way too often. It is so much easier to "do" the "Christian" life rather than to spend time with God, praying and reading His word and being quiet. But I've been convicted this week that I MUST spend time with the Savior. That is what Christians are. . . Christ followers. Not rule or principle followers, Christ followers.
Thanks Chuckster!

Mom,I enjoyed our little time together today. I love you so much.
Lauren You go girl sounds like your moving right along with your vocation and the ceremony plans. It will be here before you know it.

Hey Ya' All!!!
I wrote last night and was all finished and lost it so i'll try again tonight. Dad and I went out and bought a new dishwasher and then went Applebee's for dinner, Uncle Herb and Aunt Jayne gave us a gift card for Christmas. So that was fun.
It snowed here this AM. Dad said it was real pretty at 5 this AM.
He finished his route on time without any trouble. Clair on the other hand finished at 3 this afternoon< I think Dad said. But Clair 's job is different. He is a district manager and he has Signal Mt. That explaines it all!!!!
Cita, I'm glad for your TS I hope you do real well in it this yearl
Cary, we are praying for you and your trip, that God will keep you safe and use you in a mighty way. We will be praying for Amanda and Audrey while you are gone.
I talked to April today and she has been well while Caleb has been away and the Children have been well and fine. They are looking forward to Dad's return, I'm sure. I remember how you all were when Dad ws gone and how excited you all were for his return, I don't know if you were excited to see him or for the fact that we would be having pizza the night he got home?!?!
We are looking forward to Clif and Sally coming next weekend. Oh, Clif, we bought our dishwasher from David and he said to tell you,"Hi",and that he would like to see you while you are here. He is such a nice guy.
Well, 2 months from today Curtis will be out of Iraq. Praise the Lord. But we can't stop praying for him. Pray that he will not let his guard down and become sloppy.
More on his return later.

Oh yes, I took the plunge today at the Y. The classes were canceled because of the snow, but we didn't know So Eunice and I went in anyway and I was able to get used to the water and that helped me I think.Pray for me that I can keep this up and not quit.

Well, Clif I did it again!!!
Hello All,
Well, I am going to try this again. I obviously am a little "blog challenged" today. Cary has been very busy getting ready for his trip this week, so he wrote a quick note last night and asked that I post it today.
I am leaving February 3rd to go to Honduras on a mission trip through Honduras Outreach, Inc. in Decatur, GA. I am joining a team from Tabernacle and First Baptist in Newnan, GA. We will be working in the village of Mal Pais. Our work will consist of building latrines, roofing, pouring concrete, vacation Bible school, and medical clinics. I am excited about this trip. it will be my first organized mission trip since college. I pray that the Lord will use me and that I will be sensitive to His spirit and "seize the day" when the opportunities arise. I want to work hard and share the gospel of Christ at every chance. This is a ministry of building relationships and through the love of Christ drawing people to Him. For they will know that you are Christians by your love. I will be returning late Saturday the 10th. Please pray for the 24 missionaries that are going. Talk to you later.
I will not be able to speak to Cary until he gets back on the 10th, which will be the longest we have gone without speaking. My mother will be spening the week with us, so maybe I will not get too lonely. Upon his return, Cary will send a post summarizing his wonderful experience. Please pray for a quick and safe trip. We love you and look forward to seeing you soon.
Amanda.
