I got a chance to talk to Curtis today. He seems to be doing well. After returning from an 8 day stint out in the field he was promoted to Corporal. Well done, Curtis. He said that basically the promotion means that some of the stinky responsibilities that he has now will be replaced with a different set of stinky responsiblities. And he will get a pay raise. Curtis did say that there are some guys out there in CA that he knew from Chattanooga and one guy he remembered from playing soccer in high school. Lauren is going to be visiting him in a few weeks and will be staying with this dude's girlfriend. The four of them are going to do a little traveling. He said Disneyland and the beach. Sounds fun. Just wanted to let everyone in on his good news. I know he is pretty good about calling us...but I am sure it would be encourageing to give him a call. Love to you all from VA. Have a good Lord's Day...

Steve and Beth Durham were there this AM. They got married yeaterday and joined the church tonight. We took them out to eat after church tonight. Thbey are real sweet and are excitd about getting active in church.
I hope you all had a good dayh in church. Pray for Clair. He was sick tonight and couldn't come.
Take care, Curtis, we love you and are praying for you. Dad and Mom
The fun never stops at Community Baptist Church. Sounds like it was an exciting weekend. Clair, I hope you are feeling better bro. You know...i am not sure if my bowels will ever recover from Turkey. Not that they were ever in a very normal state to begin with, it just seems that all of the goat meat that I ate in Turkey has changed a few things in there. Sally too. Anyway. Love you all...Sal and I are both working today. Tomorrow we are planning to have dinner with some friends and hopefully enjoy some fireworks. Have a Happy 4th.

Thank you Mom and Dad for coming down last night for our presentation. You both have done a great job of passing your faith and patriotism on to us. We are very proud of Curtis and know that he will do a good job with his new stink'n responsibilities.:) We are going to a cookout tonight and watch some fire works from there. I want to wish every one a happy 4th and too remember those who have gone before us and their sacrifice. Semper Fi, Curtis.
