Update on our own "Few and Proud"
Well I guess it is my turn to write on this blog. I apologize for my delinquency. I have a very busy month ahead of me. This weekend I am going to Florida to see my friend rob. You probably remember as my friend who lost his leg in the motorcycle accident a couple of months ago. I promised him I would go down and kayak in the gulf, one of our favorite pass times when I lived with him. He continue to pray for him and his wife. The next weekend is our missions conference. I asking God teach me a lot. This trip to Iraq is not only to serve my country but also to be able to witness to my fellow marines. War changes people and softens hearts. As dad puts it,"there is never an atheist in a fighting hole." the following weekend is a mandatory drill for medical screening. That Sunday is my last at comm. bapt. We will be having a little get together after church. Then the following weekend we are off to d.c. to visit clif and sally. Lauren will also be coming down. Mom and dad will be able to meet her parents for the first time. I am really looking forward to that. Some other people will be there to so I am sure we will have fun looking at all the sights around our capital. On our way back I am going to get dropped off in Knoxville. The following day I go on active duty. I am sure looking forward to getting over there and getting back. I am really going to miss everyone and the planning of my wedding. Which I am not to sad about. But I know in the long run this time in my life will only make me stronger as a man and the leader in my home. Your prayers are much needed and appreciated not only for me but also for Lauren and mom and dad. I love you all and will be in contact with you.

I love you , Mom
Right on man...
Can't wait to see you in May.
Wedding plans are overrated anyway.
See you soon.
sorry this is so gramatically incorrect. i work third shift. that is my excuse. love you all.
Hey,curt. boy youve got alot to fit in your schedule. We would like to take you dinner before you get away please give us a date. We got a letter from James yesterday and he seems to be doing OK. He lost one of his good buddies. It wasnt in combat it was a traffic accident. He said mail is the highlight of the day and not getting a letter is a big letdown. Curtis, his words to you are as follows... "Hurry up and get out here you are missing out on all the fun!" Curtis I know God has his hand on you and If you know you are in His Will, then whatever takes place I will have peace about that.
As far as your up comeing marriage ceremony,I trust that all is right and that God is at the center of all the planning. I will be praying daily for you my sweet baby brother. I have a special song to give to you dont let me forget. Please tell Lauren that I am also praying for her and to always take her council and strength from The Word of God.
I Love you so much. My babies love you so much also. We will miss you so much. Chuck is also very concerned for you and always ask prayer for you and his brother James. thats it for now. Sis
good word bud.iencourage you to find a strong christian marine with whom to pray and fellowship.there are two wars going on,one military and one spiritual.the world the flesh and the devil are the enem ies of your life message and spiritual growth.you can only win by the power of the spirit that endwells you and the word of God that conforms you.we will pray daily that you will win on both fronts.i am very proud of you and thankful to God for your desire to serve Him like caleb in a high and hard place.I love you very much.Let God be God DAD
Curtis, thanks for your service to our country and to our Lord's Kingdom. I pass along something my college president would tell us when we would leave for breaks. He would say, "Remember whose you are." Curtis remember who you belong to and who you represent: 1. You are a child of God. 2. Your last name is ROTH. 3. You are my brother. 4. You are an American. 5. You are a MARINE! Curtis, I am very proud of you and I know you will do a great job over in Iraq. We will be awaiting your return. I love you, brother.

The life of a Christian should not be about "doing," but about "being." The "be" produces the "do." I am trying to say this...We are often decieved by looking into the future and saying "wow, the Lord could really use me there" I need prayer that when I get into "such and such" situation I will be like Daniel in Babylon and stand on TRUTH rather than shrink under pressure. Rather than make that statement, I am proposing that we think like Daniel in 1:8 and "PURPOSE IN OUR HEARTS." Daniel was able to stand in the evil day, because he was already standing in the "not so evil day." It was about "being" for Daniel, so when he was sent to "Iraq," the "doing" was automatic. I will be praying for you while you are in Iraq bro, but you should know that I am praying for you in the same way right now. Not as often or as regular as i should, but I am praying that you are able to fight the fight now. I make this statement b/c i know about my own nature, I know how I am tempted. Use your time wisely now...and begin even now to think more about "being"(your heart) that "doing"(outward appearance). Hope I am making sense. Love you dude.
Praise the Lord! our Musical is now behind us and WOW what a blessing it has been in my life and in our home. I know many peoples lives were changed and so many seeds were planted. It was a fantastic experience for me I had never done anything like it before. God really helped me relay is message through the narration.Thank you to those of you who remembered me in prayer. I am definately going to sleep much better tonight. I So Tired! This also bythe way was the kick off to our 4 day revival meetings. I am so excited. Please pray for our church. God is working in many lives. I want so much for God to use me in our church as I try to convey what God is doing in my Life. This Easter has been such an amazing time for me. My excitement about being a child of God has truly been renewed. "God is so Good He is so good to me" I trust each of you had a wonderful day in the house of the Lord. WoW! our Family did! Continue praying for Gods hand of mercy and of grace on our family. I Love you all so much. Thank you mom and dad for coming to support me, that always means so much to me. One more thing... Chuck did a great job also in this production. He was one of the disciples and he sang in a mens group. I believe this all has been a wonderful event for him . God is at work.
Godd Morning to anyone who is checking in. "This is the Day that the Lord has made Let us rejoice and be glad in it." My Life has heart has truly been altered these past few weeks. I can not wait to see what wonderful word Dr. Futril has for us this morning at "Bible and a Buiscut" :) My heart is so full if you didnt notice. Got to go. I love you Roth family.
OOPS! I meant Good Morning not Godd morning.:)
is any one out there.
Hey, Hey, it's a great day!! I,m here. We ae very busy getting ready for our missions conf. which starts Fri. eve. when Dad gets home. So I have plenty to do.Plus, i am trying to Spring house clean. I am also trying to gather things that I don't use and probably never will use, to put in a yard sale we are having to raise money for some campers from our church, going to the Wilds. Pray for them . Two are from a very good ,homeschooled home, two are from a missionarys home and homeschooled, the otherone is from a broken home and public school. You older kids would probably remember her mother Lisa Morris. She came to Calvary with her two younger brothers and younger sister. She is Robert Morris' daughter. She has the three girls on weekends quit often and does everything she can to pull them away from God,so this is a big step for Stephanie to go to camp so please pray for her 1.to stay on track and GO and 2.that she will allow God to work in her heart. Thanks.
Well, I am eatin

Hey family!
Cita I heard your cantata was awesome! Your dad bragged about ya on our way home that evening! I'm so glad to hear that things are going well in the Cita and Chuck home. God is always faithful. It is nice to be refreshed after and in the midst of our trials!
Well, I talked with Clif this morning. He said they are having fun and soaking up everything they can. Last night Mark Dever spoke and this morning Al Mohler and somebody else. They were standing in line for the bathroom when he called! I guess they were in between sessions! I'm excited they get to spend these few days together!
A lot is going on here as usual! Our friend and former youthgroupee is staying with us for the month of May. We will bring her home when we come for Memorial Day. We had a fun girl night last night, playing games and highlighting our hair! This afternoon I am off to the church office.
We are getting ready for a visit from Curtis and mom and dad and the other slew of people they are bring with them! I'm trying to make arrangements and have beds for everyone!!! We are bracing ourselves for two of our very close friends to have labor and delivery for the first time in their lives! We hope to be a great support to both of them and are very excited. That's Kristy Shepherd and Beka McCay!
Stay tuned for a memorial blog entry from Fritz.
Love you all,
Sally
actually I guess I missed something somewhere. I knew that was coming up,but I didnt know that daddy was out of town. Guess I will call mom I didnt talk to her yesterday. Thanks Caleb.
Hey! When did Fritz die? WE HAVE YET TO RECEIVE THAT INFORMATION. :)))))))) SORRY! to hear about Fritz
The truth be told the C. Roth's that live down on Dallas Hollow Road. The ones that live soooo close to Fritz. Just wanted to be cool and calm about not knowing about Fritz. We are truly sorry to hear, but I am sure he is doing well in doggie heaven.
Thankfully, we have this blog to keep up with everything. (Almost everything)
Talked with Clif tonight. I asked him if his dad was snoring! He had indicated some fear of not being able to sleep since they are suppose to be sleeping in the same bed! Clif reports no snoring as he is wearing his mask. AMD as far as I know there has been no slapping of the thigh or sliding the hand under the pillow!!!! (A story I recently heard from the lady who usually sleeps with Clifton D Roth!) Good night all!
OOps, C.Roth (clair fam) I notified the brothers out of town about Fritz. I just assumed that you all would know. My Bad. I also assumed Curtis would know. Anyway I remember next time when I might just have some pertanent Info.
I was the anonymous I guess i forgot to put my name in. Who knows.
Caleb you just send Regann my way and I will comfort her if need be in this area. It is all still very fresh in my mind.
