Defined: those issues to which we believe the Bible does not speak directly. We usually leave these issues up to the conscience.
Any thoughts on how to handle these issues?
Any thoughts no your struggles with these issues?
I will share this link with you to a sermon that I listened to today and found very helpful...

Here is an intro to the sermon that I suggested...I think this description helps alot...
"Can I have a beer with dinner? Can I watch the movie and just fast-forward past the sex scene? Can I smoke a cigar with my father, who’s not a Christian? How tight is too tight? Can I buy the expensive car?
These and many other areas of our lives can seem like the “gray areas.” If the Bible doesn’t give any rules for these, does God really care?
As Eric Simmons shows us in this message, in God’s eyes there’s no such thing as gray. With hard work and constant practice, we can learn to discern between good and evil—even when it’s not easy.
Eric gives three principles for helping us practice biblical discernment: think biblically, distrust your heart, and imitate the Father.
Humble orthodoxy means applying Scripture to our lives—even in the gray areas.
This was the fifth message delivered at the 2007 New Attitude conference."
Well, it has been a month since you put this on here and noone has responded. I have been giving it a lot of thought and feel very unworthy to respond since I am not a real Bible scholar. Ifind myself asking about this often in various situations. I wonder what God thinks about this or that. Or how He would view something.
Maybe some of your brothers have better ideas on the subject. But we may never know what those views are. I do believe thatin God's eyes there no "gray areas" as your man Eric says. With God it is yea or nay, Black or white. Many times we want to say something is not "that bad". The question is how bad is that bad. With God bad os bad.
That is all for now . Maybe more later.
Love you all

WOW! The Silence has broken!
Thanks for the thoughts Mom. If you all haven't listened to the sermon - I would really encourage you to. I've listened to it 3 times. It will give you alot to think about. I think we need to be very careful to find our accountability in our local church. Clif and I have been talking about this a bit lately and I really think the points Eric makes about accountability and bouncing our 'standards' off others is important. While family, especially father/mother to daughter/son is great we also really need those spiritual brothers and sisters to really help us in our every day battles where they see us on a regular basis and know how these things really affect us. I know there are times when each of us as siblings are burdened for one another's growth and spiritual well being. We need to challenge one another to find the best accountability within our local church. Find someone who you can open up to and be painfully honest with regarding you graymatter choices. I believe it will be abundantly helpful to you. I've been meaning to write this on here for a while. I finally found a bit of time. Thanks, Mom for breaking the silence. Love you all. Caleb
I haven't listened to the sermon yet. I will try to soon. The one thing I will say about graymatters is that I'm just so thankful that with a heart desiring to please God, He promises to KEEP us. When we do make the wrong decision about whatever matter is at hand, the is Holy Spirit shows us we are wrong, and then helps us to make it right!
