Caleb suggested the following sites for maps, if you are interested:
http://www.marineparents.com/usmc/back-to-iraq-maps.asp
http://www.marineparents.com/maps/al-anbar-72dpi.jpg
The site below is the informational site for Curtis's unit. (not sure of the correct terminology for his group: unit, battalion, division, hmmm)...
http://www.marineparents.com/units/Print.asp?ID=375
Looks like they have not updated it in the last month or so. It still shows that his unit is in "late predeployment."

Hi Everybody,We talked to Curtis twice Thur. At 7:30 AM it was 3:30 in Iraq and he had been sick, then he called ack at 11:00 last nite and he had had a nights sleep and was feeling much better, it was then 7 AM there. He said he thought he had gotten dehydrated. I encouraged him to write on the blog then everyone could hear from him. He said he would do that.
Dad and I are fine we had a good time with Karla and Paul. We went to the Fiddlers Feast it was good.We had dinner and then a Bluegrass and early Country music program. The cabin we stayed in was very nice. And so now it is time to get back to the real life and all that there is to do here.
I hope you all have a good day. As soon as we get an address for Curtis we will let you know.I love you all very much, Mom

Cant sleep. I have so much on my heart tonight. Everything from Curtis to my burden for my unsaved friends (David and Esther), to the overwhelming task of training our children, to the state of my marriage and everything in between.
Well, so I thought id check the blog. Ive been praying. I really do most of my talking to God in bed either early in the morning or at night after I kiss chuck goodnight. Speaking of Chuck, pray that his arm would heal. something is wrong with it xrays showed nothing to be wrong but it has been weeks and the pain is not subsiding. it is hard for him to work with it. its his right arm. hurts to hammer, drill ect. Chuck is doing really good other than that. God is working.
I have been too busy. pray that I will do better balanceing my time with school church and family and especially my time with God.
Well, this was theriputic. I think I will close for now. I trust all is well in all the Roth households. I pray for you all daily. I love you all. Lauren, if your reading this, YOU ARE included in that. I love you too.
Goodnight or goodmorning.

I spent the mid day at the hospital with one of our ladies whose husband was having soome heart work done. He is fine and resting well (I hope) He will come home in the morning.
Tomorrow Ii will try to get ready for a yard sale on Sat with Cita.I am working hard to get some exercise four days a week. It is hard for me to do. But I am trying!!!! Now to do better at my diet!!! I need much prayer!!!
Cita I pray for you often and for Chuck and his arm, and for all the other things you have going on.
Lauren, it is so good to see you on the blog. I am looking forward to you coming at Christmas. We pray for you daily. It has been good to hear for Curtis so much this week . I think we are getting spoiled. But we will enjoy it while we can. I sent him a package yesterday. He said he would get it in about a week.
Well I better close for now and get to bed myself. I love you all very much. Mom
The Roth's in VA are heading for a date night on this Friday evening. I think we are going to the mall to spend a gift card I received from work, and then. . .ice cream, Clif's favorite, to my demise!
We are house-sitting. . .again! I think we will be able to retire soon with all the house/animal sitting jobs we get! :) This time we have a big orange cat to keep us company. We call him "Kitty" because we forgot his name. We do know the cat is named after how the child said yellow. Anyway, I'm sure "Kitty" doesn't mind.
So, things are just moving right along here. We are planning the program for a huge Christmas dinner that is traditionally one of the biggest outreach events Grace has. I LUV planning Christmas services. . . ! I'm also learning to play the piano. It is getting more and more challenging, but I'm so looking forward to being able to play a "real song"! Clif is learning about Church History and Composition. He is trucking along with his videos and online assignments. Good job, Clifton!
Glad to get some updates from some of you. Cita, we miss you! Looking forward to seeing you over Thanksgiving and/or whenever you guys come up for a tour of the nations capital! Lauren, you should come visit us too! AND you should chat with the Roth Family more often on this blog. I figured you'd been reading. If you read with no comment, well, we'll just have to start talking about ya or something. :)
Go get 'em jazzy exercise lady!
Hey Caleb Roth Family,
How's it going with new baby girl? We are praying for you and trust the Lord will strengthen you and sustain you in this time! Will you send us some new pictures soon for the blog?
Hey to you all,
i can't believe it but Christmas will be here before we know it.And with that Curtis' time will be about half over. I thin k he is out on a mission because he hasn't called yesterday or today so pray for him. When you go to bed he is just getting up and when you get up he is just going to bed. He is 8 hours ahead of us.
Sally, we will expect a concert when you come!!!!
Caleb, I need a picture of Cassia, please. I have a frame and it's empty.
Well, Cita and I are having a little yard sale tomorrow so I better get to bed, Morning will be before I know it.
Love to you all, Mom
Caleb...we want to come...i am constantly keeping my eyes and ears open for deals. Tennesee drilled Memphis today. Ainge looks pretty good. Glad progress is being made on the siding and the project. Is that Jaspers related to Dave? I will post soon. LOVE ALL OF YOU... I am attempting to do school work today. Pray for that.
FYI- The Sally Jane blog has been absent of any new posting for months, but I've decided to start keeping it up again. Not that it will be interesting, but something for me to do!
Hey You all, Well, another Sunday is over and i'm still alive. Is't that good news. We had a very busy day. Right before church started this AM A van pulled up to the church and a family got out and came in. When they got into the church they filled the enteryway!!!!! But I knew the father right away it was David Morris. You older children will remember him and Debbie. They now have 10 children . The oldest girl is 20 and just got married in July. Ther next girl, Darlene is a jr in college. And they go on down from there 5 boys and 5 girls. The youngest is a 4yr old boy. David looks and acts the same but he is heavier. Debie looks the same just some gray hair. I took a picture of them. Maybe I can put it on here with Tina's help.
So we invited them to stay for dinner. They said yes. So I had to do a quick inventory of what I could pull out of the freezer. We had a great time and plenty to eat and a very few leftovers. So now I will have to cook Mon and Tue.
They asked about all of you and wanted us to tell you all hi for them. Cita got to talk to David, she called here for something and I gave the phone to him so she got an earfull.
They were down here from Ind.for Bobby Flemings 40th birthday. We had a great time visiting with them.
So no naps or rest periods. They left aand then it was time for choir and church. Now Dad is in bed so he can do his route and then go to Nashville for some training tomorrow.
Curtis called this AM right in the middle of church.Dad's cell phone went off. He said " That's probably my son calling from Iraq, but he'll call back later" and turned his phone off. Curtis called back on the church phone, I heard it ring two sets of times he left a message the second time and said that he is fine, but hasn't called because he has been busy. It was good to hear his voice and know that he is alright. He sounded a little tired. Keep praying for him. Well, I guess I'v blabbered enough for now .Good night to you all and I love you all very much. Mom
well how about a new post on th main page? 15 comments is alot. but that is good. i am doing fine. alot is going on over here but the more you have the faster it goes. we are fixing to go out for about a week so i will probably not have any communication. pray that God will keep my guys and me safe, especially this week. love you all. -curtis

He asked for these special socks from the brigade quartermaster. Curtis, I hope I got the right ones. We have been in fall revival meetings this week so we too know what you have been through ,Caleb. All is going well and we will celebrate Amanda's birthday this weekend since we have been so busy. Mom, are you sure Bobby Fleming is turning 40, I would be thinking 50. Sally, how long have you been tickling the ivories? Well I better go . Much love to all,
CDR
Hi everybody, Well, first of all,
Cary, you are right it was 50. I have been busy today. First being jazzy and then planting pansies. So I am dirty up to my ears!!!
Then I gave Suzy a bath. So she is clean up to her ears and beyond!!!!
We are going to have our Pig Roast next weekend and we will have the Crosspoint Bluegrass Band here. Dad checked with the Turkey Creek Band, Cary, and they wanted $1500 to come then they came down to $1000 But Dad said we might call them some time later. They are a little our of our price range. But they look like they are really good.
Well, Dadjust came home so I better go. Talk to you latter. Love to you all MOM
